Simpel gezegd, "**Pure" bevat geen pigment en "Natural" bevat een romig witachtig/geelachtig pigment**. Welke is transparant? Geen van beide. Hoewel Pure geen pigment bevat, is transparant niet de beste omschrijving omdat Oil Plus 2C een product op lijnoliebasis is. Lijnzaadolie vuurt van nature het hout aan en maakt het dus donkerder.  Om je hout er natuurlijk uit te laten zien, moet je net genoeg pigment toevoegen om die aanvuring te neutraliseren. Dit is afhankelijk van de houtsoort.
